BIOGRAPHY

Praised by the San Antonio Express-News for her “dexterity, velocity, and accuracy” in Chopin’s Piano Concerto in f minor, pianist Jinha Park has performed internationally for more than three decades. She made her public debut at age 14 with the Sunhwa Arts Orchestra in Seoul and has since appeared with orchestras including the Vienna CMS Chamber Orchestra, National Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, Oltenia Symphony Orchestra (Romania), Alicante Symphony Orchestra (Spain), and the Festival Philharmonic Orchestra (Korea). Her recital and concerto appearances have taken her to Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center, Seoul Arts Center, and Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory Small Hall, in addition to concert engagements across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
A prizewinner of the Vienna Allegro Vivo International Chamber Music Competition, Burgos International Music Competition, and Texas Music Teachers Association Competition, Dr. Park has taught and performed at major festivals such as Music Fest Perugia, Summit Music Festival, Montecito International Music Festival, Triumph International Music Festival, and the Washington International Piano Festival. She has served as Associate Director of the Colorado International Piano Academy, U.S. Associate Director of the Amigdala International Music Competition in Italy, and Artistic Director of the DC Strings Concerto Festival.
In addition to her performing and leadership roles, Dr. Park is a sought-after adjudicator, having served on juries for competitions in Russia, Vietnam, Korea, and the United States, including the ICA International Piano Competition, the Virginia Queen Piano Competition, and the Northern Virginia Music Teachers’ Association Concerto Competition.
Her teaching career has included positions at the Augusta State University, University of Maryland Global Campus, Sookmyung Women’s University, Chungnam National University, Baekseok Conservatory, and Sunhwa Arts High School in Seoul, Korea. Jinha Park received her DMA from the University of South Carolina, a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, an MM from Seoul National University, an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a BM from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Dr. Park currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at Frederick Community College in Maryland and as Department Manager and Piano Faculty at Levine Music in Washington, DC. She is also a faculty member at the Summit Music Festival in New York, Music Fest Perugia in Italy, and the Colorado International Piano Academy & Festival.
She received the Steinway & Sons Top Piano Teacher Award in 2022 and 2024.
